Heart Beat @100

It was sunny (Sun)day in Bangalore.One of my friend call me for his room to have nice lunch in his room.After having nice lunch in his home.I saw the time it was 4.15.I have no clue about I can reach Majestic railway station by 5.30 since am in Bangalore(the traffic City). One crazy thing in the middle of this story.I messaged to my friend am near to NIMANS. He is Funny guy he called me asked me what happened me Why am admitted in NIMANS (Really he is Dumbo). But I managed to reach Railway Station soon.
      We gone for current reservation and booked the ticket soon Which we never expected(because we were expecting pushing and pulling).We got into Tippu Express also,Usually reservation bogie filled up with Infosys people who piggyback from Bangalore to Mysore.It was strange for us We didnt find infy folks instead it was jam-packed full Iyar families(from chennai!!) in all ages.Train started by 6.15 now story starts.... Want I was doing till now is just am checking narrating capability ;) Before I reaches Mandya it was big sound in our boggie.Train was tumbled from Rail.Its was derailing and moving left to right. Me and My friend rushed to pull chain. Unfortunately "the chain we aimed actually with out handle" (don't laugh out this place). Few chaps closed train doors.But Ticket checker is crazy guy he is asking people to close the emergency window also :(  (Worst part some people were doing that also)
       Virtually I can make out 'Fear of Death' in everyone's face. I don't have mirror to check mine ;) .People around us screaming out louder and louder. Everyone's mind same same scene was running, it was Mangalore accident .The train was stopped in the middle. people taken a breather louder. Finally we came to know that bullock crossed in railroad.Train was ran on that train derailed from its track.When train managed to came back the at a lower place of its few bogies was damaged and It was full of blood(Blood(y) Bull(shit)).... But this happened by 7.30 how we are gonna supposed to reach by 9.15.Till that time we scrambled to so much not showed to anybody people around us. Only we know how much we scared. My fellow worker joked that time also he didn't insure himself. After that door was closed very rashly by air People around us started scaring so much.
        When we reached Mysore.I thought to pump my fist in the air and Yell like "I reached safely" :) you know how much my heart rate @ that time is was around heartbeats @ 100

Nokia's New mobiles

Sporting a 2.4-inch QVGA display, bar-shaped Nokia C3 is the first Symbian S40 device to feature a QWERTY keyboard.

The phone features a 2 megapixel camera with 4X zoom, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include WiFi and Bluetooth. The phone has 8GB memory capacity.

Just like popular Nokia E72, Nokia C3 sports a large QWERTY keypad ideal for writing emails, text and multimedia messages. The phone will be available starting the second quarter of 2010 for $122 (Rs 5,490)

Social networking and messaging brought to life with the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5.
Espoo, Finland – Nokia has announced three new handsets – the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 – designed to put better messaging and social networking tools in the hands of more people around the world, at affordable prices. These new handsets feature full QWERTY keyboards, and enable access to a range of different email accounts, IM communities and social networks.

“Our messaging device range is very successful,” said Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s Head of Markets. “Services that provide easy access to the world’s consumer and corporate email and instant messaging are really popular on our QWERTY smartphones such as the Nokia E71 and Nokia E63. People want the best messaging and social networking experience on an affordable device, whether it’s sending a simple text or instant message, an email, or a direct message from their Twitter account. The Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 are made for just that.”

The Nokia C3 is the first device to bring a full QWERTY keyboard to the world’s most popular mobile phone platform – Series 40 – and is the first in the range to enable access to social networks directly on the homescreen. People can view, comment, update their status and share pictures to their favorite social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

At an estimated price of EUR 90, before taxes and subsidies, the Nokia C3 also comes with Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat, meaning first time users can set up email and chat accounts straight from the device, without the need for a PC. Other notable features are the Wi-Fi connectivity, a two megapixel camera, rich color 2.4 inch screen and support for up to an 8GB memory card. The Nokia C3 is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2010 in a variety of appealing colors, including golden white, slate grey and hot pink.
The Nokia C6 is a Symbian-based smartphone combining the benefits of a 3.2 inch touch screen with a full slide out keyboard. The large screen provides a great Internet experience, as well as offering access to Facebook feeds directly on the homescreen. A full suite of email and social networking capabilities means the Nokia C6 is perfect for people who want to stay up to date while on the go.

Common Table Expressions (CTE) In SQL 2005

Common Table Expressions (CTE) In SQL 2005

      This is one of a good concepts  in SQLServer2005. CTE much useful in Temporary Tables or derived tables.A Common Table Expression returns temporary result set from inside a statement.
Some of the most frequent uses of a Common Table Expression include creating tables on the fly inside a nested select, and doing recursive queries.

Common Table Expressions can be used with DML,DDL

     we have been using TSQL for this long without Common Table Expressions,
Then Why CTE is Required. Although new to SQL Server, Common Table Expressions are part of ANSI SQL 99, or SQL3. Therefore, if ANSI is important to you, this is a step closer.
It is easy to write a query with Good performance.
Easy to understand with simple structure.

SQL Snippet

USE tophat--TOPHAT is my DB
GO

WITH CTE_Name( [Reg No] ,  [Orgin City] ) AS
(
  SELECT reg_no , orig_cnty---Two Columns in my Tophat DB
  FROM prime_reg
)

SELECT *
FROM CTE_Name---This is CTE Name

GO

Case Sensitivity in SQLServer

In SQLServer I faced one problem with Case sensitivity

SQLServer didn't differentiate this

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Administrative Assistant

Some time SQLServer wont recognize this issue.Because of tha collations.When we create database we case define the
Case sensitivity
That too in SSRS.It was quite difficult.To sort out this issue
only way you can set this collate in SQLServer and convert the required field in Binary(in web lot of codes are available)

To know the full details Run the below query in SQLServer

SELECT *

FROM fn_helpcollations()

We can use this funciton to get all available formats for collate

This one basically used for Case sensitivity

this is the default 'CI_AI_KS collate Latin1_General_CI_AI_KS'

Want a Easy one  in SQLServer

select cast('Gowtham' as varbinary)

select cast('gowtham' as varbinary)

select cast('GOWTHAM' as varbinary)

Simple way to differentiate.. Happy Coding.

COALESCE funtion

COALESCE is one of the inbuilt function in  SQLServer.

I never seen people use this wonderful funtion

COALESCE usually retrives non null values specified in its arguments.

Select COALESCE(Column1,Column2) from Table_Name

we will get one column which compare with two columns and get non null column value.

Note:
  1.     Things you should remember NULL is not '0'
  2.      Before comparing convert all columns in same data type (Use CAST or Convert)

To Search Particular Data from Database(SQLserver)

I had Database called Tophat which has 8GB of data.And I had a Column value and my database has 450 tables
So how can I find out the particular column and table name

So I searched in Net and I got the solution

set ANSI_NULLS ON
set QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
go

ALTER PROC [dbo].[SearchAllTables]
(
@SearchStr nvarchar(100)
)
AS
BEGIN

-- Purpose: To search all columns of all tables for a given search string

CREATE TABLE #Results (ColumnName nvarchar(370), ColumnValue nvarchar(3630))

SET NOCOUNT ON

DECLARE @TableName nvarchar(256), @ColumnName nvarchar(128), @SearchStr2 nvarchar(110)
SET @TableName = ''
SET @SearchStr2 = QUOTENAME('%' + @SearchStr + '%','''')

WHILE @TableName IS NOT NULL
BEGIN
SET @ColumnName = ''
SET @TableName =
(
SELECT MIN(QUOTENAME(TABLE_SCHEMA) + '.' + QUOTENAME(TABLE_NAME))
FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES
WHERE TABLE_TYPE = 'BASE TABLE'
AND QUOTENAME(TABLE_SCHEMA) + '.' + QUOTENAME(TABLE_NAME) > @TableName
AND OBJECTPROPERTY(
OBJECT_ID(
QUOTENAME(TABLE_SCHEMA) + '.' + QUOTENAME(TABLE_NAME)
), 'IsMSShipped'
) = 0
)

WHILE (@TableName IS NOT NULL) AND (@ColumnName IS NOT NULL)
BEGIN
SET @ColumnName =
(
SELECT MIN(QUOTENAME(COLUMN_NAME))
FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS
WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA = PARSENAME(@TableName, 2)
AND TABLE_NAME = PARSENAME(@TableName, 1)
AND DATA_TYPE IN ('char', 'varchar', 'nchar', 'nvarchar')
AND QUOTENAME(COLUMN_NAME) > @ColumnName
)

IF @ColumnName IS NOT NULL
BEGIN
INSERT INTO #Results
EXEC
(
'SELECT ''' + @TableName + '.' + @ColumnName + ''', LEFT(' + @ColumnName + ', 3630)
FROM ' + @TableName + ' (NOLOCK) ' +
' WHERE ' + @ColumnName + ' LIKE ' + @SearchStr2
)
END
END
END

SELECT ColumnName, ColumnValue FROM #Results

END

To execute

exec [SearchAllTables] 'AHN, JAMES'

'AHN, JAMES' should be the field you want to search in the database
